2012 Concerto Competition

DEADLINE: February 18, 2012

COMPETITION: Saturday, March 24

Open to residents of Tarrant, Parker and Johnson Counties through 12th Grade on any orchestral instrument or piano.

Please complete the application form and return it with the $30 application fee and a tape/CD/DVD of the applicant

performing 5 minutes of the movement of their chosen concerto* by February 18th 2012 to:

Invitations to compete in the competition will be sent out by March 10, 2012.**

*Any work for solo instrument that has a commercially available and traditionally accepted orchestral accompaniment may be submitted.
**The judging panel reserves the right to screen all repertoire and reject any that is deemed inappropriate for the orchestra. These applications will be returned with their $30 application fee.

1st Place: $300 plus an opportunity to perform the movement of the Concerto

with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra during their Spring Concert on Saturday, May 12, 2012

2nd Place: $100
