December 2011: Steve Moore

Steve Moore

Steve Moore is the one making all the noise in the back of the orchestra. A member of the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra for five years, Steve’s favorite composers include Beethoven, Debussy, Shostakovich, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky and Brahm.

Steve began playing the piano in elementary school and sometimes does double-duty on the piano in Fort Worth Civic Orchestra concerts. He toured Western Europe with all-student groups the summer after graduating from high school. He played in the Rice University Campanile Orchestra for over 10 years, as well as several civic and professional orchestras while living in Houston.

Steve has two grown sons and a grandbaby. He serves as a merchandising assistant at the corporate offices of Calloway’s Nursery. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, genealogy, and (of course) playing with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra.
